Nineteen prominent Vogue editors from around the world vowed to kill off the skinny model as a desirable body type. They also agreed not to use underage girls in their pages. Models will be required to be least 16 years-old and present ID.

The magazine hopes the industry will follow it’s lead.  Conde Nast International Chairman Jonathan Newhouse issued a statement to say... “Vogue believes that good health is beautiful. Vogue Editors around the world want the magazines to reflect their commitment to the health of the models who appear on the pages and the well-being of their readers."

After a star packed opening for The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Spring 2012 Costume Institute exhibition “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations", there is talk of bringing Schiaparelli back to life.

According to the New York Post... "Tod’s owner Diego Della Valle is looking to relaunch the iconic Italian fashion brand Schiaparelli beyond any Met run. Della Valle purchased the rights to the Schiaparelli label in 2007, and he’s just opened it’s fashion house at the same address, 21 place Vendome in Paris, where Elsa Schiaparelli had her salon in 1935. Della Valle hopes to name a creative director and CEO for the brand this summer."

Sounds a bit like the portrait of Dorian Grey. According to The Daily Mail Kate Moss turned a room in her new Highgate mansion into an image gallery featuring items only of herself.

The idea for the collection goes to husband Jamie Hince and includes iconic career pictures given to her by stylists, photographers and painters. A source told the British tabloid... “It’s quite surreal – a bit like a nightclub with soft lights and all these sexy Kates in different stages of undress.”

A racially tinged Popchips TV commercial starring Ashton Kutcher was doomed from the start. It was pulled within days. The satirical dating video features the actor as a number of ethnic male stereotypes including a Bollywood producer, a dreadlocked Rasta, a tattooed redneck who like his women hot and spicy and a Karl Lagerfeld look-alike who says "Money creates taste and I have lots of both ...I'm sorry, I was holding my breath to look skinnier."  The clip clearly intended to be noticed by offending. Popchips founder and CEO Keith Belling wrote on the company’s website that the company “worked hard to create a lighthearted parody featuring a variety of characters that was meant to provide a few laughs. We did not intend to offend anyone. I take full responsibility and apologize to anyone we offended.”

Is pregnant sexy? Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, the daughter of former Paris Vogue Editor Carine Roitfeld, posed for the cover of i-D magazine very much with child wearing only lingerie.

The shoot was styled by her mother who put the 31 year-old in an Alexander McQueen cape, a Cadolle bra and Christian Dior and Cartier jewelry. Celebrity nude and semi-nude photos have become something of a norm ever since Demi Moore posed for Vanity Fair in August 1991.

How do you say rain in Chinese? YGM Trading Ltd. is in talks with the administrators for Aquascutum to buy the business and its assets. The iconic 160 year-old British rainwear manufacturer filed for bankruptcy last month.

The Hong Kong based publicly traded company already owned a 10% stake in Aquascutum. China is becoming the world's largest market for quality goods and Chinese investors are increasingly interested in owning luxury firms.
